At The Factory, we thrive on creating an environment that is welcoming and inspiring to all. It’s been our great pleasure for the last six years to open our company doors to anyone who wants to learn more about who we are, what we do, and how we make. Our events, workshops, and parties have grown immeasurably over the last years.
When we opened our doors in 2013, we jokingly called The Factory Café our “accidental restaurant.” The Factory Store was planned as a three-week pop-up. What happened was beyond our biggest expectations. Over six years, we’ve been able to feed our staff, our workshop guests, and visitors from near and far.
It’s with this spirit of adventure that we announce new programing for The Factory Café and Store. Beginning Monday, September 30th, we will shift our focus to Workshops, Events, and the educational programming that has been a key part of Alabama Chanin since our first days. Our last regular brunch will be served on Saturday, September 28th and our new hours of operation for The Factory are Monday – Friday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. We give Factory tours every weekday at 2:00 pm and offer private group tours by appointment.
Plan to join us for events at The Café, like our intimate suppers and Friends of The Café dinners. The Factory team has planned exciting upcoming programming like pop-up events and meals, the annual Holiday Market, Workshops, and special occasions like our Project Threadways Symposium.
Our upcoming October events include Candlelight Yoga @ The Factory, Friends of the Café with Tandy Wilson, and a One-Day Embroidery Workshop.
