“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow.” — Melody Beattie

In February of this year, we published a Journal post entitled “Love___”. In it, we listed the “who, what, and where” that we love. Little did we know at the time that it would be those people, things, and places that would help us through a trying and unpredictable year.

As the year comes to a close, all of us at Alabama Chanin are starting to reflect back on 2020 and are endlessly grateful for our family, friends, and small comforts that continue to see us through. With Thanksgiving celebrated, safely and socially distanced, this Thursday, we share just a few of the things we are grateful for this year and invite you to share what you are most thankful for with us in the comments.
