Hanukkah, the “festival of lights,” begins on the 25th day of Kislev on the Jewish calendar. In 2020, the holiday began at sundown last night and continues through Friday, December 18th. The lighting of the candles on the menorah represents the miracle of the oil that lasted eight days, when it should have lasted just one – but it is also a welcome reminder, as days get dark earlier, of the warmth of family and tradition. This year’s holiday celebrations may be different than planned, but we wish all of you who celebrate a happy Hanukkah or, in Hebrew, “Hanukkah Sameach.”
P.S.: Look for inspirations for the holiday home and table.
