Springtime scene with organic cotton dress by Alabama Chanin and flowers from 3 porch farm by Rinne Allen

“Mandy O’Shea of 3 Porch Farm in the Rinne Dress from the Alabama Chanin archives”, 2017 by Rinne Allen

“The beautiful spring came; and when Nature resumes her loveliness, the human soul is apt to revive also.” — Harriet Ann Jacobs, Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl, 1861

Gardens, like life, are constant work ―work to improve, work to grow, and work to ensure the future is more beautiful (and bountiful) than the present. And like a garden, life continually transitions from season to season. Rebirth after darkness.

With Spring upon us, we are reminded of this sense of renewal. As life for us all begins to move towards a post-pandemic world, we, like a garden each spring, are renewed.

In honor of Spring, of gardens, and of this sense of revival, this week we share gardens from around the world.
