“All in all, it was a never-to-be-forgotten summer… one of those summers which, in a fortunate combination of delightful weather, delightful friends, and delightful doing, come as near perfection as anything can come in this world.” — from Anne’s House of Dreams by Lucy Maud Montgomery

As the world starts to awaken, this summer is a time for gratefulness, while still honoring the struggle and loss faced by so many. The coming months will bring warm weather, time to gather with family and friends, and the opportunity to safely explore once again —all simple pleasures that are even more meaningful now. In honor of the season, this week we share summer festivals from around the globe.
